Join Ubuntu Stage for Voices of Tomorrow, a vibrant monologue competition that celebrates the brilliance, complexity, and spirit of Africa and its Diaspora — just days before Juneteenth.
This unforgettable evening will feature powerful performances from emerging youth artists as they bring to life monologues from contemporary African and Diasporic plays written by celebrated playwrights such as Wole Soyinka, Jocelyn Bioh, Mfoniso Udofia, Danai Gurira, Ngozi Anyanwu, and more.
Each actor has participated in a series of intensive workshops leading up to this performance — honing their craft, finding their voice, and connecting to the heart of these stories.
More than a performance, Voices of Tomorrow is a fundraiser for Ubuntu Stage, a cultural initiative dedicated to empowering African and Diaspora youth through the performing arts. Your ticket purchase supports scholarships, arts programming, and leadership development for young storytellers across the globe.
Expect an evening of passion, purpose, and pride — all rooted in the values of Ubuntu: “I am because we are.”
Let’s gather to honor heritage, ignite hope, and celebrate Black excellence in every form.
