RISE, Debbie Allen Dance Academy’s Musical Theater program, offers training in acting, dance, performance, and voice. All aspects of an artist’s experience, from the audition process to backstage etiquette and taking direction, are put into motion under the direction of Ms. Allen and her master teachers. An industry showcase for casting directors, agents, managers, and other industry professionals is presented at the end of each semester.

LEVEL: Beginner – Advanced

AGES: 5 – 7 EARLY RISE | 8 – 19 RISE

SCHEDULE: September 11, 2026 – May 2027 (full program)

EARLY RISE:

5 to 7 year olds who have a serious desire to develop skills as a singer dancer actor. Must be able to hold attention and take direction.

RISE:

Talented artists ages 8 to 19 who want to develop and improve technical abilities as a singer dancer actor.

COSTS:

Audition Fee: $25

​EARLY RISE  $400/month includes 1 group vocal, 1 acting, and 1 broadway dance class.​

​RISE  $620/month includes 1 private 45 min vocal, 1 acting, 1 broadway dance, 1 audition tech/speech, and up to 3 dance classes.​

​​RISE  $320/month includes 1 weekly private 45 minute voice.

AUDITION:

Video Requirements:

EARLY RISE: 2.5 min max: sing a song a cappella, read a poem, demonstrate dance ability.

RISE: 3 min max: 1 minute a cappella song, 1 minute dance, 1 minute monologue.
