Kick off The UnErasable Solo Festival with artist previews, a special guest host, and a reading of Sugarcoat, Missouri!
Join a special kickoff celebration launching this year’s UnErasable Solo Festival and introducing the artists and stories taking the stage this September. Get a first look at the festival lineup as participating artists take the stage for 2-minute previews of their shows, giving audiences a taste of what’s coming throughout three weeks of bold, unapologetic storytelling. The evening will feature a special guest host, a chance to meet & celebrate this year’s festival artists, and an opportunity to connect with the community before the festival officially begins. Drinks and light refreshments will be provided.
PLUS… A SPECIAL READING OF SUGARCOAT, MISSOURI!

The kickoff celebration culminates with a reading of Sugarcoat, Missouri, a new play by Paris Crayton III. At its heart, Sugarcoat, Missouri is a love letter to the people we often don’t notice until something goes wrong.
Set in a small Black community outside St. Louis, Sugarcoat, Missouri follows protective Genesis as they guide us through the everyday lives of people whose stories are too often overlooked. After a sudden death draws the eyes of the outside world, Genesis fights to reclaim the community’s stories before the headlines define them.
Come meet the artists. Get a taste of the festival. Celebrate the stories that refuse to be erased.
Say It Loud. Say It Proud. The UnErasable Solo Festival starts here.
