Set in East Los Angeles in 1996, Confessions of Women from East L.A. features four actors portraying nine Latina women whose stories are told with courage, humor, and dignity.
From a street vendor fighting for her livelihood, to a Chicana activist inspired by Frida Kahlo, the play explores the struggles of Latina women confronting socioeconomic and political barriers while imagining better futures for themselves. Through themes of patriarchy, sexual double standards, inequality, and sisterhood, the play celebrates the resilience and strength of women finding their voices.
Starring: Yesenia Padilla, Lesli Lopez, Irene Jones, Blanca Melchor.
