“Beloved Community” is a group of 20 Black- and Latinx-led and rooted organizations that formed a healing-centered network to reimagine justice for our communities across LA County. The Beloved Community cordially invites you to attend the Truth & Accountability: Advancing Healing Forum, to heal community divisions and provide policy recommendations for how elected officials can better work with key stakeholders in building a new system of racial and economic justice in Los Angeles.

This time will include testimony from diverse youth and adult community members who will share their experiences of racialized violence in LA County. With our keynote speaker, Resmaa Menakem, author of the NY Times bestselling book My Grandmother’s Hands: Racialized Trauma and the Pathway to Mending Our Hearts and Bodies, we seek to center communities impacted by racial violence. We will facilitate breakout groups to receive community input and recommendations for systems and policy change that would reduce harm and transform Black and Brown communities in the spirit of unity.

*Event is free and open to the public. We will be providing lunch and other giveaways to attendees. The first 50 peope to register will get a copy of Resmaa Menakem’s bestselling book.*

Revolve Impact will send a final email the week of the event with parking information and other day-of details.
