DADA ON POINTE INTENSIVE

The Debbie Allen Dance Academy presents DADA On Pointe is a 3-day intensive where beginner to advanced students ages 10-18 (with at least three years of classical ballet training) are invited to study with ballet masters from the U.S. and abroad.
Class curriculum includes ballet, pointe, character, men’s technique, variations, modern, and contemporary repertoire, plus talk backs and ballet history. Former DADA On Pointe Ballet Masters include: Misty Copeland (America Ballet Theater), Lauren Anderson (formerly Houston Ballet), Desmond Richardson (Complexions Contemporary Ballet), Rasta Thomas (Bad Boys of Dance, LINES), Alla Khaniashvili (formerly Bolshoi), Tiler Peck (New York City Ballet), and Alison Stroming (Dance Theater of Harlem).
This year participants will train under masters Lauren Anderson (Houston Ballet), Charlie Hodges (LA Dance Project) and Myles Lavallee (Les Grands Ballet Canadiens). DADA faculty Karen McDonald (Academy Director), Rasta Thomas (Senior Artistic Advisor) and Natalia Velarde (formerly Washington Ballet) will join the line up of teaching masters.
