Founded in 1965, LAICCC became the nation’s first multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, and multi-racial performing and visual arts institution, championing non-traditional casting and creating a home for artists historically excluded from mainstream cultural spaces. Its mission was to develop, finance, and operate an artistic, educational, cultural arts center in Los Angeles.
