In the final installment of France-Luce Benson’s Haitian Revolution Trilogy, she traces hidden connections between Haiti’s devastating “Double Debt” to France and the United States and the trauma that shaped her own sense of self-worth.
Through personal narrative, music, dance, and multimedia, Benson weaves Haiti’s economic history together with her complicated relationship with money, creating something simultaneously intimate and epic.
