Legacy Rising Takes Root at ArTES Magnet
We’re excited to bring our Legacy Rising residency to Mark Brodie’s class at ArTES Magnet! Part of GroundED, SBT’s arts education program, this residency invites students to explore the work of Alice Childress, Lorraine Hansberry, August Wilson, and Philip Hayes Dean. Through these rich stories, students sharpen their performance skills, connect with the legacy of Black theatre, and explore what they bring to the stage.
