MEET YOUR COACHES

 Crystal Lee Brown is an Emmy® Nominated actress, audition coach and self-tape specialist. She also serves as an on-set Dialogue/Acting Coach for network television. Her clients have an increased callback/booking ratio and she’s highly recommended by agents and managers. Her passion is to help actors gain control of their auditions by having fun and releasing fear. Crystal has landed roles on NBC, SHOWTIME, STARZ, NETFLIX, HBO, ABC, CBS, TNT, and The CW, National Commercials for Top Brands, including Apple, Best Buy and Walmart and feature films, including, Warner Bros. Judas and the Black Messiah, Lionsgate’s Uncle Drew, and 20th Century Fox’s Hidden Figures. Currently, she can be seen in a Guest Star role on Showtime’s The Good Lord Bird and a Recurring Guest Star on Season 2 of Hightown on STARZ and on The CW’s, All American:Homecoming. Most recently, Crystal landed a Guest Star role on the new season of NBC’s, Chicago Med.

Ironically, Crystal booked these credits and more straight from her self-tape auditions!

iTape LA is Crystal’s give back to her fellow actors. It was created as a safe place where artists can come to get coached, self-tape and play within their craft.

Shelli Boone has been working and acting in Hollywood for over fifteen years, giving her the experience and expertise needed to be a stellar coach and self-tape specialist. She loves helping actors find themselves in their characters and bring out what makes their performance unique. She believes acting should always be fun and truly cares about the craft. Shelli draws on her training with some of the top in the business to provide her clients the best audition possible – including Margie Haber, Aaron Speiser, Larry Moss, Annie Grindlay, Wendy Davis and Kim Gillingham. She is also an alum of UCB and Groundlings.

She has guest starred on popular shows such as Dear White People, Entourage, Castle, Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, Mr. Box Office and Tyler Perry’s House of Payne and was a series regular on FOX’s primetime drama soap Saints and Sinners. She has worked alongside some of the biggest names in showbiz including Kevin Hart, Heath Ledger, David Alan Grier, Salli Richardson, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Taye Diggs, Anthony Mackie, Robin Givens, and Betty White just to name a few.

Shelli currently recurs as ‘Tina Hicks’ in CW’s All American: Homecoming and also guest starred on The Rookie, CSI:Vegas, and the OWN Network’s, All Rise in 2022. Her film appearances in 2023 included BET’s, Miracle for Christmas and Hulu’s Grimcutty. Watch for her in the upcoming features The Benefactor and The Longest Sleep.

Shelli has honed her skills on the stage and was nominated for an NAACP Best Actress Award for her stage portrayal of Dorothy Dandridge. She also embodied the vivacious Josephine Baker in “When Divas Were Divas” which toured both nationally and in Europe. She has produced her own stage productions, “Out West: Women of the Plains” and “The Cell Block Seven”, which went on to earn another NAACP nomination for Best Ensemble.

Shelli has appeared in over twenty national and international commercials and modeled in print campaigns for Anheuser-Busch and Milkbone. She has voiced radio spots for McDonald’s, HBO and Chevrolet.
