Two mothers. Two neighborhoods. Two schools. Two futures.
When Denitra loses the charter school lottery for her daughter, she must find another way to escape from their underperforming neighborhood school. The answer seems like a risk well worth taking, but may end up requiring a bigger sacrifice than she ever could have imagined.
Lines in the Dust is produced in collaboration with Collaborative Artists Bloc.
Immediately following the play, join us for food, music, drinks and more, as we highlight two amazing local organizations— STEM to the Future and Educating Students Together.
With selections from the following Black-owned businesses:
Malik Books
NikNax Stationery
DeVonna Payne
Brown Toy Box
Music curated by DJ Q-Nice
Event photos by Joan Fuller Photography
Please note: all attendees must wear a mask inside the theatre to keep each other and our artists safe.
