Support Black Theatre was thrilled to launch our new audience enrichment program, Talk Forward, in support of Both And (A Play About Laughing While Black), an exciting new show conceived, written, and performed by Carolyn Ratteray and directed by Andi Chapman.
With Talk Forward, SBT flips the model of the traditional talkback and engages the community right from the start—inviting them to participate more fully in the process of theatre making.
This inaugural Talk Forward, which began during Women’s History Month, was a 4-part series of impactful, community-building events for Black women and non-binary. Together, we explored the themes of this incredible new play— Black Wellness, Black Legacy, and Black Joy.
